When I read the voices I wonder if all the negative energy that is put out there could be used in a positive way.  Many folks seem to have great ideas, thoughts but it seems they would rather be secretive.  I would like to see folks think of all the great things we have going here in Newton. 

How about the fact that we are the only community in Kansas to hold two playoff games for football.  I would think that the merchants and Chamber would get behind this event and really make the teams welcome.  There is outside money coming to town that folks will gladly reward the businesses that provide them with an excellent service.  Think of it, two communites are going to be very happy with the victorys and will want to celebrate.  Let's make it three, with the extra cash flow for the businesses who already do a lot for our community.
